sunrise at the chickamauga Battlefield is a favorite location option for chattanooga Senior Pictures.


I met Eden and her mom at 7:30am on a quiet Monday morning in September.  This morning was perfect for us since it lined up with Eden's fall break. Sometimes, it can be challenging to find an evening during the week with all of the senior sports & other activities at school. The sun started to peak through which gave a nice warm glow to the tall grass Eden had requested for her location. When discussing location options, we start with what type of look or ideas the seniors have in mind for their outfits and overall gallery feel. I do know we intended to capture floral, tall grass, and a more modern colorful downtown look as well. I told Eden I would drive through the Battlefield the day before to make sure they was the perfect spot. Sure enough there was one section that hadn't been mowed and we were good to go.


Eden chose three outfits and  two locations for her senior pictures. We planned for her to show up in a  long pink colorful dress for photos in the warm tall grass. We loved the natural glow from the sun filtering through the trees and her handheld florals were the perfect touch.

denim is always a good idea for a senior outfit change


We moved over to shoot on one of the Chickamauga Battlefield bridges. For these photos, Eden planned a denim outfit with a neural floral top. Denim is a classic and timeless look that can be dressed up or down. I loved this southern free-spirited vintage vibe this look brought to her gallery. It was slight touch of modern western style set in a simple and natural location.

A little black dress to round up this chattanooga senior's outfit collection


A little black dress is one of the most versatile outfit choices for senior pictures for a reason. Endless accessories can be added and this gives such variety to your gallery.  Examples would be a red lipstick, cute sneakers, high or platform heels, or a hat and jacket could be fun! Eden wore a chic black mini dress with the crisp white sneakers. We then moved over to a beautiful floral garden with the cutest butterflies. To end the session we ended up finding a location right where we were that fit the modern downtown look she was going for so we didn't end up traveling downtown. Eden was a joy and we had so much fun together! It's a good sign and feeling at the end of a session when my jaw hurts from laughing so much.
