A common question of high school seniors is where can we go in Chattanooga for beautiful foliage Pictures?

The  first most asked questions from high school seniors about their upcoming photo session has to do with best location.  Some seniors prefer an urban downtown Chattanooga vibe and some like Ella Kate choose a farm setting or somewhere with foliage. They often ask if the grass is tall, are their florals, etc? At the top of the list is The Barn at High Point Farms Venue in Flintstone, GA. The venue is a popular wedding pick, perfect for events, and hosts Ingleside Tutorial ( a Charlotte Mason homeschool.) Ella Kate attended Ingleside through her 8th grade year before moving to Silverdale Academy where she will graduate in May 2026. This location pick was not only the perfect fall look but was very sentimental to EK. Some of my favorite moments of this session began at the greenhouse. The soft filtered light created a beautiful portrait of EK with her  most cherished bible.

Another commonly asked question from high school senior girls has to do with outfit choices.

How many outfits do I bring for my senior portraits? I always suggest 3-5 outfits with accessories like hats, lipstick, jewelry, boots, heels, etc. which can transform a tank and jeans into a completely new look.  If you are feeling stuck, I encourage seniors to just have fun and  not be afraid of mixing styles and patterns. It's helpful to think about what do I feel amazing in as opposed to what is trending today? Although, don't get me wrong, trends are so much fun but not the end all when it comes to modern but timeless senior portraits. The best thing about choosing your outfits is there are no rules! EK did a fabulous job putting together her portrait outfits. She sent me a description of her outfit choices and I planned each location within the venue accordingly.

For the second location at the farm EK wore a white strapless dress with red boots and an earring change. We walked down to the shallow creek and she ended up barefoot in the water with beautiful reflections. The creek is a favorite spot at The Barn and Highpoint Farms and I understand why. It felt perfectly serene with sounds of water rippling, birds talking, and warm sun filtering through the trees. EK also brought a short blue dress with sandal heels, a long blue/white flowy dress, and jeans, with a black tank. I felt it was well rounded and gave her senior pictures amazing variety.
